Church Services in State College

This Sunday afternoon, October 5, at 2:00pm, join us on campus outside on the HUB lawn, near the gazebo on the southeast part of the lawn, for a special outdoor Jesus experience!

Join us this Sunday at New Hope Church. Our service starts at 10:30 am on Sunday morning and finishes around 12:00 pm.

We also like to meet for church, worship, and prayer at a variety of times on campus, and when we do, you can find us at 300 Pollock Rd, State College, PA 16801.

    Make room for the Holy Spirit! Visit a church where people like to be fully involved, ask questions, pray for each other, and enjoy quality time together with Jesus.

  • Worship ▾

    Join us for contemporary, Spirit-led worship, with a combination of well-known guitar-led songs and spontaneous choruses in the presence of the Holy Spirit. We invite everyone to worship as they feel most comfortable.

  • Prophetic Encouragement ▾

    Many people find "ministry time" to be their favorite part of church. This is a time when each person who comes is invited to receive personal prayer. We pray for prayer requests and needs, but we also spend time listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit as He leads us in prophetic encouragement. Ministry time is dedicated to building you up to be the wonderful person God has created you to be. One thing we all take away from it is this: God really does love us!

  • Bible study / sermon ▾

    We vary between interactive sermons, Bible storytelling, and small group Bible studies. Your questions are welcome, whether everyday "How do I live my life?" sorts of questions or impossible "How in the world does the Trinity work?" kinds of questions. The Bible is our authority and foundation of truth. Let's study it together and learn what God is saying to us today!

Roots in the Jesus Movement

  • Jesus Movement Churches ▾

    Our church is deeply rooted in the ideas and practices of the Jesus Movement, a revival that swept across the United States in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Inspired by the teachings and community-focused approach of movements like Calvary Chapel and the Vineyard, we emphasize a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and a commitment to living out our faith in practical ways. Our services are characterized by contemporary worship, heartfelt prayer, and a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can experience the love and grace of God.

  • Non-Denominational, But Not Alone ▾

    Trailblazers Church is a well-connected church where all peopel are welcome, from all backgrounds and walks of life. Like non-denominational churches, we are not fixed in the structure of classic or main-line denominations, but unlike many non-denomational churches, we are well-connected with other churches around the world, and we participate in the local State College CityChurch church community.

  • Emphasis on the Bible and Sound Doctrine ▾

    At the heart of our church is a strong emphasis on the Bible. We are committed to teaching and living out the truths of Scripture, helping our members to understand and apply God’s Word in their daily lives. We prioritize sound doctrine and biblical teaching, ensuring that our beliefs and practices are rooted in the truth of God’s Word. Our goal is to equip our members with a solid foundation of faith that guides them in their spiritual journey.

  • Church is About Jesus! ▾

    Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and the center of our lives. He is our hope, and we believe that you can know Him prersonally, just like we do. We also believe that the Holy Spirit is present and active in the life of every Christian: if you are a follower of Jesus, then the Holy Spirit is living inside you, and you can learn to hear His voice and use the miraculous spiritual gifts just like the people of the New Testament. We are passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others, and we want to reach our community and beyond with the message of God’s love and grace. The Holy Spirit wants to empower you to be bold in your faith and to share Jesus with everyone you meet!
